As a payment provider in Norway Vipps has regulations and obligations to adhere to and we take this responsibility very seriously. One of these requirements is to run a yearly disaster recovery exercise. We have now planned that this will occur on the 2nd of March.
We have a backup date scheduled for 23rd of March, and deferral to the backup date will be communicated no later than the 24th of February.
We will run this exercise between 00:00 and 05:00 CET.
During this exersise Vipps will be unavailable during the switch over period from our primary server location to the secondary, this will again occur during the switch back to our primary location. We expect all traffic outside of these switches to operate normally.
During the switches both app login and all calls to https://api.vipps.no will be blocked.
We will use this status page to post updates during the process.
Please remember that if you use callbacks with our APIs and use whitelisting as part of your security setup then you must whitelist the callback URLs for our secondary location as these differ from the primary.
During the disaster recover excercise the following services will be unavailable for the duration of our operations from our secondary location: - Vipps Login API - Vipps Merchant Portal
